In partnership with the "Bouchons 276" association, Alis invites all A28 Rouen - Alençon Motorway users to show support by a simple action, beneficial to the environment and which also brings hope to the disabled.
The objective of "Bouchons 276" is to assist persons with reduced mobility, by participating in the acquisition of specific equipment that is often very expensive.
To this end, the association collects all types of plastic bottle tops, caps and lids to the sell to the companies Atmosplastics (Eure et Loir Department) and Ecoplastics (Oise Department) who recycles them. The revenue from the sale of the plastic bottle tops, caps and lids collected is then used as grants for the purchasing of the equipment.
Since its creation in April 2003, the association, that has already more than 200 collection points in the Eure and Seine Maritime departments, has collected nearly 950 tonnes of plastic. To date, the grants provided for the purchasing of specialised equipment amount to more than 121 500 €.
Three collection points have now been set up on the route of the A28 motorway: the first inside the Food & Drinks outlet of the Domaine d'Harcourt rest area in the Eure Department, the two others being at the service stations of the Les Haras and the Dentelle d'Alençon service areas in the Orne Department. In addition, two recycling bins have been installed in the offices of Alis at Bourg-Achard and Routalis at Chaumont to collect the plastic bottle tops, caps and lids provided by the employees of the companies.
With this initiative, Alis continues its commitment to sustainable development, with respect to society and environmental aspects, and actively participates in local community activities.
