This year again, as in previous years, the "Flames of Remembrance" will be once again lit at the Fortière Manor at Epreville-en-Lieuvin in the Eure Department, where an impressive historical panorama will enchant both young and old, in the evening from 10:30 pm onwards, on 8th, 9th, 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd, 29th and 30th July 2011.
Presented for the third time, this epic "sound and light" show has once again brought together the volunteers of the Saint Georges du Vièvre district and of the Risle Estuaire Region, proud of their heritage and history and all too happy to share their story with you.
For more than two hours, the 30 amateur actors and more than 200 supporting casts, directed by a team of professionals, will present, through scenes and songs, with the history of their region. The force of living theatre will bring back to life the events that have marked the history of the ten districts of the West of Normandy … The projection of short clips and giant images on the walls of the Manor, the spectacular pyrotechnic effects and displays as well as the quadraphonic sound reinforce the magic of this midnight tale.
Acted and sung live, the show combines with talent, action and emotion: the eras change, the scenes slide effortlessly from one to the other, the time machine once in full swing takes the audience far back in time…to the great pleasure of all.
Sponsor of this event, Alis continues in its support of this project that has already attracted more than 16 0000 spectators and reinforces its commitment to the promotion of local cultural and tourist events.
