Make concession motorway driving more simple

Liber-t is the hands free automatic toll payment system used on all French concession motorways that make payment more simple and facilitates traffic flow through toll barriers. No longer the need to find some change or debit and credit cards; thanks to the hands free automatic toll tag installed in your vehicle, the toll barrier automatically lifts up on your approach. The monthly cost of your motorway journeys is then automatically debited from your bank or post office account.

How do you use the Liber-t hands free automatic toll tag?

On approach to the toll plaza (either when entering or when leaving the motorway), select a lane which is identified by the symbol ,
Advance slowly up to the barrier, whilst maintaining a safe distance of a minimum of 4 m between your vehicle and any preceding vehicle,
Proceed as soon as the barrier then lifts up and the traffic light turns to green.

The system cannot function if:

The vehicle is moving too fast,
The hands free automatic toll tag is incorrectly installed on your windscreen,
Your badge is out of date, damaged or opposed.

In the case of a problem:

When entering the motorway, take a ticket and present it on exit of the motorway to the personnel manning a manual payment lane booth, if it exists. If not, use the intercom at a payment point to be put into contact with the personnel of the motorway operator.

Where must the hands free automatic toll tag be positioned?

The hands free toll tag holder must be installed inside the vehicle, at the top of the windscreen and a little to the left of the rear view mirror.

warning for anti infra red radiation windscreens, this zone is generally identified by an area of black spots. Please correctly position the toll tag holder.

How is the hands free toll tag holder fixed to the windscreen?

Check that the surface of the windscreen is clean and dry, than peel off the adhesive dad protection film.

Place the hands free toll tag in position and apply with slight pressure for about 10 seconds.

Insert the hands free toll tag into it's holder from left to right.

warning Please ensure that the bar code label stuck on the hands free toll tag is not damaged. You will need to produce the toll tag and bar code when paying with the toll tag at a manual toll payment barrier.
