Presentation of the motorway

The route between Rouen and Alençon is a section of the A28 motorway linking Abbeville to Tours via Rouen, Alençon and Le Mans. It is part of an essential greater western European motorway network, called the ANSA (North South Atlantic Route) and designated as E402, which crosses France via the West bypassing the Paris Region.

The A28 Rouen Alençon motorway construction

On 27 October 2005, for the first time in France, a 125 km section of motorway was open in one piece. The involvement of the teams, the importance of the resources deployed and the excellent coordination of the stakeholders had made it possible to build the 125 km in just 28 months, which was also a first at this time. Thus, ALiS was able to exceed its contractual commitments by delivering nearly 2 months before the scheduled date!
