The "Versailles of horse breeding"

Founded under Louis XIV and built in the style of the "Grand Century", designed by Robert de Cotte, first architect to the Crown, the Haras du Pin fully merits its name of the "Horse's Versailles". The 1,200 ha estate is organised around a central horse shoe courtyard flanked on both sides by stables with the chateau at the end. In between them, with terraces offering spectacular views over the "Haut Bois" park. In Its parkland setting, the Haras du Pin is the symbol of French excellence in horse breeding, and houses many stallions for the production of future champions. In the former n°1 stable, discover a museum dedicated to horses and using the latest technology: interactive information points, optical theatre, films, etc. All year long, the Haras du Pin follows the yearly cycle of races, breeding competitions, exhibitions...
