A28, Maintenance of the ALiS network
The A28 motorway, a key route for national and international trade and an integral part of the ANSA (Atlantic North-South Axis) network of Western European motorways, crosses France from west to east, bypassing the Paris region.
Autoroute de Liaison Seine Sarthe (ALiS), concessionaire since 2000 of the Rouen-Alençon link, a section of the A28 motorway, carries out inspections of the Bec and Risle viaducts, two exceptional structures on the A28, reaching heights of 50 and 75 metres respectively. These inspections are carried out at night from the deck of the structure using a negative platform (a vehicle with an articulated arm that allows work to be carried out in areas that are difficult to access).
Consequently, the viaducts, where traffic travels on a single lane, must be closed in order to carry out the operation in complete safety.
In order to optimise this night-time motorway closure, various maintenance and equipment renewal works are planned both on the viaducts and on the section between junction 13 at Brionne and junction 14 at Bernay.
Work dates
In order to maintain optimal traffic conditions for customers and limit disruption, work will be carried out at night when traffic is lighter.
In order to allow all companies to work safely at the same time, it will be necessary to close the motorway at night, except in bad weather and at weekends:
From Monday 17/11/25 to Friday 05/12/25
From 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
