Even if holidays are most often synonymous with pleasure and relaxation, it cannot always be said of the drive there and back. Even though motorway makes for a comfortable and safe journey, kilometre after kilometre, weariness sets in, so does tiredness and the driver and passengers, particularly children, start to find the journey long… How can you counter this when the consequences can be sometimes fatal (1 in 3 motorway accidents with fatalities are due to falling asleep at the wheel and tiredness multiplies by 8 the risk of an accident)? There is only one solution: take regular and restoring breaks so that all occupants can relax and recover and then continue the journey in the safest of conditions.
In order that the journeys of the users of the A28 Rouen / Alençon motorway take place in the best possible conditions, ALIS is once again organising, a "Relaxation Village" on the Domaine d’Harcourt rest and service area located at exit sortie 13, Brionne.
On 26th July, 2nd, 9th & 16th August next, from 10 am to 6:30 pm, there will be many free events and activities allowing children as well as adults to be entertained as well as "recharging their batteries". For the children, there will be a bouncy castle and a ball pool, as well as a petting zoo. For the grown ups there will be table skittles and other similar games to distract them and think of other things. For relaxation, motorists will be able to use the sun beds and massaging armchairs to unknot those tired muscles and to get a few minutes of rest and quiet.
After this pleasant and relaxing interlude, motorists will be able to resume their journeys in good shape… on condition that they remember that taking a break at least every 2 hours, indispensable for driving in the safest and most relaxing conditions.
