The Le Mans 24 Hours Motorcycle Race is being held on 19th, 20th and 21st September next, at the prestigious Le Mans motor racing circuit and will take place in front of thousands of spectators attending this, the final round of the World Endurance Championship 2014.

On this occasion, Alis, will once again, in partnership with the various State and Eure and Orne Department and national Road Safety bodies, provide two Motorcyclists Rest Stops on the A28 Rouen / Alençon Motorway. This initiative, run now for many years, provides rest stops which allow, each year, more than a thousand motorcyclists to rest and relax on their journeys to and from the race.

On Friday 19th September from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm and on Saturday 20th September from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm, motorcyclists travelling to the Le Mans circuit will be able to take a break at the La Dentelle d'Alençon Rest & Service Area, located at exit 18. After the race, on Sunday 21st September de 12 h à 21 h, motorcyclists will be able to take a break at the Domaine d’Harcourt Rest & Service Area, located at exit 13. These two rest stops will equally be accessible from the main and secondary roads network.

At both halts, Motorcyclists will be able to rest, help themselves to drinks, pastries and savoury snacks, provided free of charge by the organisers. They will also be able to relax their tired limbs on the massaging chairs, once again provided this year. In order to resume their journey in the safest possible conditions, motorcyclists will also be able to check and re-inflate tyres, clean their visors, etc. If required, tools needed for small adjustments and repairs shall be lent to them. Of course petrol pumps are located at these rest & service areas to fill up the tank if necessary.

In addition, in order to incite motorcyclists to make their journeys by the motorways, proven to be much safer than main and secondary roads, Alis is once again providing free of charge access to the A28. This free access applies to all class 5 vehicles from Friday 19th September at 10:00 am until Monday 22nd September at 12:00 pm (noon).
